A scant few of my favorites:
Today is a day! A most precious day! In honor of this most prestigious day, I made soup! It's a very special soup! Look at that decadent broth, those moist meaty chunks! It's soup! It's a kings soup! Soup of kings! I want to share with the world, so they too know SOUP! THIS IS WHAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF! MADE OF SOUP! SOOOOUUUP!!!
Have a good 1st soup everyone! :D
Alrighty then. I just finished writing chapter 5. I still need to edit it as well as probably beef up the level of detail. It's going to be a short one, but the main body of it is all tentacle sex, so there is that to look forward to. I am a little iffy right now on the quality and after I do an edit run I may enlist some help with pre-reading it. I will probably do the editing tonight
I wanted to write this exhaustive academic analysis after revisiting Butterfly Soup, a short visual novel by Brianna Lei, creator of Pom Gets Wi-Fi. She literally writes the best character dialogue since William Shakespeare, so you should buy this game immediately.
(also it's free)
I won't spoil anything at all here, just wanted to describe how the VN makes such a smart choice about story structure.
Soup flavored... Baby soap?
I'm probably gonna draw something about this for fun now.
Magic… and perhaps a bit of botulism too.
This isn't so much a recipe as it is general cooking advice, but it's useful to many recipes I talk about, so here we go. When you think of things you should always have in your freezer, you probably don't think of stock. Hell, some of you probably don't even know what stock is! Well, in this post, we're going to discuss what stock is, why you need it, and how to make it. And it's really REALLY fucking easy, so don't even worry.
Chapter 43 posted in The Runaway Bodyguard. Starlight finds something unexpected at her apartment. Next: A boarding house of mares run by a stallion? Color Starlight worried.
When we were lightning fast when it came to coming up with names and backstories for every single character that appeared on-screen.
Meanwhile...
It's been nearly a month-and-a-half, and our eccentric Zephyr Heights soup vendor here still doesn't have a name, according to Derpibooru.
Any guesses?
We finally got toilet paper today, we were almost out and the supermarket kept on running out. For those of you stuck at home, here's a short little something to peruse at your leisure.
There's something about old soup that just doesn't have any real appeal. I'm not talking, "We made it two days ago and we have to have it again because there's so much of it," old soup. I'm talking about, "Hey look I found a can of it in the pantry and it's six months past the expiration date, well nobody else is going to eat it," old soup. Well here I sit with that particular can of old soup warmed and ready for consumption. As I look at the steaming bowl I can't help but think that
I felt bad about this one. I had promised a friend that I'd get around to finishing it over a year ago but never had the chance or energy to do so in the middle of a move. I had nothing to do in this pain-in-the-ass lockdown, so I decided to finish what I had started. Here's the end result -
I almost don't want to talk about it since I'll end up NOT doing it since I'm talking about it and I'm notoriously known for not doing things I talk about doing. But, I'll still talk about it.
I've actually started production on the story, however, something hit me.
It's written almost like a normal fictional story with fictional characters. Normal names, an actual location/setting (Implied to be LA), and a more mature setting. So then I thought:
